BIO

Ebony Jenae pulls her power from her truths. The unapologetic R&B singer finds solace in releasing her God-given talents into the world while on a life-long journey of liberating others. At four years old, Ebony Jenae sung her first note. Wandering through her adolescent years in her hometown Chicago, Ebony sought every opportunity to feel the warmth of the spotlight. She auditioned for The Soul Children of Chicago, with whom she traveled the world for eight years, sharing the stage with the likes of Jennifer Hudson, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Queen Latifah. She went on to study at Columbia College Chicago to further heighten her skills in music. It was there that she also discovered her love and readiness for acting. Ebony concluded her college career with honors, receiving her BFA in Music: Vocal Performance with a minor in Acting.

In April of 2019, Ebony birthed her solo music career by sending forth "Little Brown Girl" as her debut single. The song was written in tribute to the insecurities that riddled her childhood. The single has since grossed over 10 million streams worldwide. Ebony has 4 other singles available on all digital streaming platforms including hit songs "Grateful" and "Little Brown Boy".

Ebony is also a working actress who has taken full advantage of the booming film industry in Atlanta, GA. She has booked several Co-star roles in shows "Will Trent" on ABC, "Swagger" on Apple TV+, and "Single Drunk Female" on Freeform. She also produces her own music videos through her production company "Express Your Essence Media & Productions".

The multihyphenate is also a published author. Her debut memoir is titled "Dear Colorism, Time's Up!" where she shares her personal story of how she experienced Colorism growing up and her journey to self-love and acceptance. She also highlights the stories of six other dark-skinned women to further demonstrate their plight and pinpoint ways the black community can help eradicate Colorism as a whole.
